Dealership accidentally sells BMW for $1

Quote:
You've probably seen those too-good-to-be true car ads in the newspaper, where a new car is offered at a ridiculously low price. But seldom do you see a BMW offered for $1, and even more seldom do you see BMWs actually being sold at that price. Thanks to a New Zealand dealership's costly typo, though, that's exactly what happened.

I wonder how many more people are going to be watching that online auction after they hear about this. Smart move and didn't cost much.

It was a 1994 model and that was probably the only one for auction. Retail about $2400. Over the years I have seen sale gimmicks where you could get a used car of $1 at a lot. Eveyone picks a car and then they announce the price. Gets people out to the lot.

Maybe I've become too cynical lately, but it's just heartwarming to see that some people still have 'honor' in their business transactions.
