    I fell for it also. But the worst part is, now I have a craving for a candy bar, but I don't have any in the house and the closest store is 15 miles away.

    Growing up we had penny candy stores and yes a penny got you a good amount of candy! What wonderfully simple days in the early to mid sixties.

    My favorite way to spend a nickel was to buy the bubblegum and baseball card packages. When I think back on some of the names on the cards I use to get I really wish I had kept them in mint condition as they would be collectors items now and worth a few dollars.
