    How to use Teamviewer

Have just installed Teamviewer to help out my brother with his 7 set up and other apps but am not sure how to start a session.

I don't necessarily want to join the TV forum just to find this out so does anyone in here use this app and id so could you give me some rough idea what I have to do please?:)

its simple, if you both open teamviewer , and your brother tells you the codes then when you enter them you can connect.

I personally use one set password and add each machine to to TV's whitlelist.

Email your brother your PC's ID and tell him to add it to the whitelist. He then emails you his ID and you add it to your whitelist.

Then as long as his computer is on (and TV running), you can access it any time.

can you tell me george, why you post a zip file that will have the answer to the op, why cant you post the page or answer in a readable format on the thread page. i for one dont want to have to download zip files to see what you have posted, its the same as when you post pdf tutorials to answer an op,
we now have a canned/template message system here on the forum and you can create a post that you would repeatedly make, then when you answer you just need to add the canned post from the post templates dropdown in the forum post reply fields.
i would like to see what your answer was but im blowed if im downloading it.

Could you give a demo on how please.

ok go to your user cp and click post templates, at the bottom left .
from there you can create a template and you can create category's to manage the templates with,
then when you want to add to a thread using a canned post then click the advanced button in the reply box and then click the templates dropdown, your templates will be listed under the different category's

you can then edit the template for that post ,to add a name or more info specific to the thread.

i think this method could be ideal for you as you could create posts using screenshots of your pdfs then just add them to save snipping and uploading each time you have a pdf or zip you want to use to supply an answer, also more people would see your replies. and learn from them.

Someone has used my pc via teamviewer (remote control). If I want to cancel a connection I just close teamviewer, right?
