The Triforce on a Wrestler's Socks...

I have been sitting here browsing the Web and on USA they have WWE on. Normally I would Post-haste turn the channel but I am too lazy. Just a minute ago I peered at the screen where two wrestlers are wrestling and I couldn't help but to see one wrestler was wearing Triforce socks. I have seen the same pair on the internet and I know that was what it was...

Maybe he was banking on Power, Courage and Wisdom (The three parts of the Triforce) to help him win the fight...

BTW The Triforce comes from the Legend of Zelda (a video game series)...

That was fun. A lot of my friends watch WWE, but I've always thought of it as pretty useless... and boring... Zelda is pretty cool, and right now I hate you because you are going to make me get addicted to emulators and old-style games AGAIN!

Edit: Still, nothing bad in that though!

The wrestler's name is Cody Rhodes (in ring) and Cody Runnels (out of ring), and he does wear the triforce socks in tribute to The Legend of Zelda games, as he is a big fan of them. He says he plays a Link to the Past yearly.

I never have watched wrestling, just can't get into it.

I started watching wrestling again just for fun a few months ago as I watched it all the time when I was younger and kind of got back in to it for some light entertainment, and when I saw the tri-force on his socks, I had to do some research to see if it was actually a reference to Zelda
