Didn't know he was under question - theses days I'd be as equally surprised to see if his guilty, or it's a back stab attempt at tarnishing his reputation.

That is an excellent point. The whole story is very strange.

Well, it goes back to what BrightBlessings said in post #6, and then some.

Remember the ex track star Marion Jones? She boasted that she passed all of her drug tests too. Things are not always as they seem.

Right, that's what makes these stories so strange. They have all those procedures to test for drugs and still there seems to be no accurate results. In Lance's case where they now say that this went on for nearly 10 years, it makes the whole story even more obscure.

There are accurate results, and athletes do fail tests. Lance was good at not getting caught, perhaps due to his meticulous nature. He was also well protected. And if he did get caught, payoffs could be made, things could be shuffled. There were incidences where this allegedly happened. Corruption is not unknown in the sports world, especially when a brand (Lance) is at stake. I know it all seems weird on the surface. Let's just say, the more I read about Lance Armstrong, the less I like.

United States Anti-Doping Agency - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is a non-profit, non-governmental[1] organization and the national anti-doping organization (NADO) for the United States. The organization has control of the anti-doping programs for U.S. Olympic, Paralympic, Pan-American and ParaPan American sport. Its work includes in-competition and out-of-competition testing, the results management and adjudication process, the provision of drug reference resources, the therapeutic-use exemption process, various scientific research initiatives, and athlete and outreach education. USADA is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
USADA is a signatory to, and responsible for implementation in the United States of, the World Anti-Doping Code, widely considered the basis for the strongest and strictest anti-doping programs in sports.[2][3] In 2001 the agency was recognized by the U.S. Congress as "the official anti-doping agency for Olympic, Pan American and Paralympic sport in the United States."[4] USADA is not a government entity,
    Well I'll be .

Guilty until proven innocent. Who needs the rule of law even here.

Tour people were jumping for joy I am sure.

I don't think anybody was jumping for joy. It is just a sad story with a lot of question marks.

Sadly the tour de france has been plagued by people using performance enhancers for nearly 110 years. It's just that the enhancers have evolved over the years as well as the bicycles and the competitors. Huge prize purses and egos and the desire to be lauded has permeated what we used to call sports. Sports is now nothing but big business. The press and the public put people on a pedestal and with great glee we love to watch them be knocked down. Tall poppy syndrome I think it is called. As I said earlier I have no opinion on the matter of guilt or innocence.

Well, supposedly the USADA will be releasing evidence in the future. I'm interested if anything will come out about corroborating witness George Hincapie. He was Lance's right-hand man and 'best-bro' through all seven Tours wins. He is considered a credible and reluctant witness.
