Those snapped into the hole. But wasn't unusual for the player to have a spindle adapter.

I lost most of my 45 collection in a move. Just never found them, looking at what I have:

    David Bowie Fame ~ Right

Paul and Linda McCartney Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey ~ Too many people

The Clash London calling ~ Train in vain

Queen Bohemian Rhapsody ~ I'm in love with my car

I'm sure in my collection I had Helen Reddy's Delta Dawn, lol

Mine are mostly French. But they are in Germany, so I cannot check the titles right now.

The snap in ones were so you could put a stack of 45's on the "changer" to play. The spindle adapter could only handle 1 45 at a a time.

I am old enough to have had an Elvis Presley 78 RPM record with Heartbreak Hotel on it. Boy, I wish I still had that.

78 mono's (Shellac's) are the bomb and I have a large collection but all in fairly rough shape. I had a multi-speed table that had a 78 setting but it was stolen. So now they sit as all my reference tables are only 45 or 33.3
I have two linear tracking tables and two pivot arms but my pride and joy is my Sota Sapphire running through a Grado Reference wood cartridge.
