No I'm not crazy. I found a spider crawling on my tower so I smacked it with my hand a little harder than necessary I'm thinking. I didn't want the little guy making living quarters inside my tower. I found the problem that might help others. It jarred my ram loose. Tall ram heat sinks and a cooler. I remove the cooler and reseated the ram. Left the cooler off because I don't really need it. Now I got my 12 gig back and working.
So if you bump your tower or move it check your ram. Ram with tall heave heat sinks and a cooler I'm thinking was the problem. Told you I wasn't crazy. Did take a little time to figure out the problem.

You were lucky that you did not get a headcrash on the HDD(s).

One gig per leg. I guess I'm lucky their wasn't two spiders. I would be in ram debt. The thing I learned that tall heavy ram and heat sinks can vibrate loose when the tower gets a good jar.
