Is iDeneb the best to use for the OSX issue?

...and is installing Snow Leopard plausible right now?
iDeneb is my personal choice, every computer is different so it takes a bit to find a distro that suits it well. I started with Kalyway, tried iAktos and finally reached iDeneb and stuck with them.

Currently the only distro I know of that is planning a snow leopard release is iKaros which I do not trust, as they want it to be a plain vanilla kernel install in 64-bit kernel only.

Which to add on that, 32-bit kexts are already having enough compat. issues, so throwing 64-bit into play will just cause more headaches thus me not trusting it, and my laptop kernel panics (the mac version of BSOD) with vanilla kernel.

It is possible though, it just depends on your hardware. Go to insanelymac.com's forums and look around, I'm sure you'll find something there.

How I love kernel panics...our macs at school do them all the time...

I might give iDeneb a try then...I wonder if running it on a PM965 chipset with a T9300 Processor and an 8600M GT GFX would do

CPU should support, it works fine with almost every CPU actually (its the i5/i7's that cause problems).

GeForce 8600GT - Just select the NVinject during install (customization) and it should work fine.

P965 chipset should also work assuming you select the correct patches. :)

EDIT: Off to sleep I go now.

I am triple booting Win7, XP, and Leoaprd 10.5.8 (iDeneb's)

But I have only used Acronis OS Selector as my boot loader and have never had problems. (it says Vista below, but that has since been replaced with 7)

Oh, and this is on an AMD machine

Your graphics may create a problem, but I am not certain.

Other then that your specs appear to look like they'd work well. :)

Can you give me the chipset your computer has?

Again with the graphics, it tends to be a problem for everyone but I know the 4850 is a perfect match, so maybe the 4870 will work.
