Has anyone been getting calls for 18-Tech.net wanting to remote into your computer?

    scam

My advice would to tell them you don't own a computer and hang up!

Blind calls about fixing your computer remotely are all about getting your personal information and charging your credit card.

No I haven't and I doubt it is really that company calling you. They seem to be a fairly big Tech Support firm and doubt they would be Blind Calling looking for customers.

Just curious, for this kind of scam, does Microsoft doing anything to fight to bring them down or get them arrested?

the OP is posting about some other scam about some other Tech support company. Microsoft has nothing to do with that other company.

I'm sure any information Microsoft would get on these scams would be turned over to the FBI, Interpol and other proper authorities.

Catching them is up to the authorities not MS.

You're right, MS don't have anything to do with the company in question but its the same thing...

Someone calls pretending to work for a company and makes people believe the user has issues on the PC and tells them it can be fixed for a fee.
