He popped the chute befor attaining longest freefall.

wow! that was exciting, would you believe youtube buffered a few seconds before he landed, bloody thing. still what a spectacular event,

What a jump!!

I don't mind telling you that my heart was in my throat especially half way through the freefall when Felix started to spin, but was able to regain control and stabilize himself for the rest of the freefall.

Its not sure at this time whether or not he can claim the record for freefall duration, the on-screen timer had him several seconds shy of Kittinger's record and they have to go over the data, but it looks like the other records are Baumgartner's.

If anyone finds it before I do, Discovery Channel played a video before they signed-off called redbull stratos mix, it was a brief synopsis of today's preparations to recovery, with a great music background.
