    First Gaming Rig Build

Hey guys I am building my very first gaming rig. My friends helped me pick the parts based on a budget since I know nothing of this stuff lol. So my question to you guys is. How well well it perform?

    Chassis: ThermalTake Chaser MK-I
    CPU: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz AM3+ Eight-Core
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB
Motherboard: BIOSTAR TA970XE AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
    RAM: Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz 8Gb
    HDD: Samsung 1TB 7200 RPM
    BluRay/DVD Reader: ASUS Black 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA
    PSU: COOLER MASTER 700W

My monitor is 1280x1024, I figure I will wait on a new one because money isn't too flexible at the moment. However the build is finalizing around $850.

So what do you guys think?

    Battlefield 3: Runnable?
    Grand Theft Auto IV: Runnable?
    I Am Alive: Runnable?

    Thanks,

    -Collin

It's all good, will run all games on high settings. You shouldn't have issues even if you get a 1080p tv or monitor. Should still run pretty boss.

Well because my friends told me the 8150 was sufficient enough for what I need it for. Which is just gaming and it was 169 instead of 220.

Very solid looking build. If I had the cash I'd shoot for something similar. I think I'm done with AMD cpu's though.

i support you friends opinion but for GAMING and general-high multi thread i would suggest the FX-6300 because of the increased single thread but it doesnt mean your 8150 was a bad choice, just not AS appropiate,
