    Thanks for the info Britton30! I have had one of these running in my PC for a year and a half now without a single issue and I get faster read/write rates than any of my other SSDs. I just might have to have a look at the old check book and see if buying another one is in order.

    Greg, that's a cute little laptop - even has two USB3 ports. Should be completely sufficient for normal day to day work. I have a lesser laptop from 2007 which still works very well - with Vista.

    I would, of course, plunk a SSD in and add some RAM. But that is optional. See this 120GB Vertex3 for 50 bucks: Black Friday Holiday deals/sales
