I personally have three on my desk all controlled by Mouse without borders. I use one of my machines to chat with my wife on and off during the day since I have a bad heart she keeps an eye on me. My other two machines I run email and weather information on one and play music on the other whilst fooling around with virtual machines of various OS, surf the web, edit photos, music files and so on. We have 2 computers that are DVR's and we watch HD terrestrial TV, Netflix, Hulu, DVD's and other material streamed on the TV. My wife has her own machine (Lord help me if it does not work) and a netbook we use when we are out of town or when I am really ill and have to sit on the couch. I also have 2 machines in a state of suspended animation. One is an old PIII 800 Mhz Gateway with XP pro and the other is newer, a 1.9GHZ Athlon. Going to make one of the two when I get around to it. I have a legal copy of most Windows OS from 3.11 onwards. The exception is Windows ME which I never used.
Computers are a big part of my life, I like fooling around with them and I always have a back up it it all goes sour. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Bluethunder OS Windows 7 x64 x86 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1050T Motherboard ASUS M4A77T/USB3 (AM3) Memory G Skill F3-12800CL9-4GBXL 16gb Graphics Card Gigabyte Silent GeForce 9800 GT Sound Card Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS Monitor(s) Displays LG L227WTG Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard IBM Mouse Logitech Laser LED PSU ENERMAX Liberty ELT620AWT 620W ATX12V SLI Case Rocketfish Full Tower Cooling COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus with push pull fans Hard Drives ST31000528AS ATA Device

Due to functionality, I do consider the following to be computers, especially the second one. Samsung Infuse SGH-I997 (fully rooted):- CyanogenMod 10 / Android 4.1.1 (Linux kernel version 2.6.35)

In regular use?
Hmm...looks like 5.
Core 2 Duo E8500 OC to 4.2 GHz
Windows 7 Home Premium
Mainly used for gaming
Pentium Dual Core E6500
Windows 7 Home Premium
Main use is Home Theater
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200
Ubuntu 10.04
4x2TB HDD in RAID 5
Media repository
TeamSpeak Server
MacBook Pro
Core i5
Snow Leopard
Main use is for email, web surfing
Compaq Presario 1610
Pentium 150
Windows 98SE
Mainly used for logging data from a Digital Multimeter when "grid charging" the battery in my hybrid car.
Bought brand new when a Pentium 150 was a big deal
I've included a picture of the Compaq in the early stages of building my grid charger.
Recently bought a Fujitsu LifeBook to replace the Compaq as I can't get any kind of Wireless to work with Win 98SE. Don't really use it for anything at the moment so I didn't include it in my count. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme QX9650 Motherboard Gigabyte EP45-UD3R Memory 2x2GB Kingston Hyper-X PC2-6400 Graphics Card EVGA GTX 560 Ti SC Sound Card Realtek on-board Monitor(s) Displays Asus PA246Q + Hannspree HF-257 Screen Resolution 1920x1200 + 1920x1080 Keyboard El Cheapo Mouse Logitech M-BZ105A PSU Antec 650W Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Cooling EVGA Superclock Hard Drives Samsung 830 128GB |

My working machines are a Windows 7 Lenovo Notebook and an XP Acer (aka POS) desktop. These are the only two I counted in the survey.
I still have the remains of a cannibalized Asus netbook that I'm going to take to CA to dispose of the next time I go there since I paid an $8 recycling fee when I bought the notebook there (yeah, I know, I'm a cheap old bi...broad; ornery, too).
Post edit: I forgot to mention I still have my old Commodore C64c system that was still working when I got my first PC.
I'm currently modding a case (Antec Two Hundred) for my next desktop. I've added some cable management holes, changed up some fan mountings to add filters and seal air leaks, and sealed up some other air leaks (even if I can't achieve positive air pressure, sealing air leaks will at least reduce the amount of dust that gets past the filters). All that's left to do is to seal the holes left from punching the case to make the straps that secure the narrow end of PCI slot covers, after which I can paint the darn thing, then install the PSU and the PSU cables I custom made, a 3.5" hot swap bay (it already has a 2.5" swap bay), and an el cheapo optical drive I got to help me make the PSU cables and to use to install Windows 7 (I'll replace it with a BD burner once everything is up and running). It will have an SSD boot drive and room for 6 data HDDs (I'll have only two data drives at first and add more as I need them). I'll also add an internal card reader once the system is up and running. I'll buy the CPU and cooler, RAM, and MOBO for the initial build sometime after the first of the year.
I also have a JetBook Lite e-book reader which is a computer of sorts.
