Has YouTube gone boinkers, or is it just me?
Wow, I'm really surprised that YouTube is allowing people to put whole albums on it's site now. It seems nuts that you can listen to a whole album for free.

Yeah my friend, i noticed it a few months ago when I listened to A7X's album City of Evil while on youtube, it's with a new update that was installed a while back now i think...
we've been posting youtube whole albums in the "what you listening to" thread for some time now.
And YouTube will also sometimes have videos of whole, full length movies and tv shows! I don't know what circumstances allow for the posting of the longer length videos, but I would love to see more, more, more of them!
Hi there
Beats looking for things on Torrents - especially these days where sometimes a "Sting" download is created so "Big Brother" can attempt to get IP addresses of downloaders of latest music / films.
(And less risky by far -- just imagine the publicity that would ensue if watching a video on You tube got your computer infected !!).
Cheers

I think it's more of a cat/mouse game with some of the full length videos being posted until they get noticed & yanked. I bookmarked some of the full length vids to watch at a later time & now I notice some of them have been removed due to copyright. Guess if you're going to watch them, better do it ASAP.
Content owners are going bonkers asking for things to be removed on the net. Even dinging sites for linking to their own web pages! All the old music I like can be found on youtube. Songs that would be hard to find if you wanted to buy them. A Guy
Hi there
pity -- knew it was too good to last -- those pesky Lawyers get everywhere !!
For music etc that you can't buy anymore - I suppose then it's back to "Phillipine Felines" !
Stuff that's no longer available should be FREELY archived in digital form for people to download.
Look for example at the great Gutenberg project which is attempting to make available FREE in E-Book formats all publications whose copyright has expired or is in the public domain.
Project Gutenberg - free ebooks
