Congratulations to you and your wife Pauly, he looks a fine young man. He was definitely a good weight my daughters 2nd was 9lb 4˝ozs so she'd understand what it took for your wife to give birth.

Enjoy your Christmas with the new addition to your family.

Many congratulations Pauly, what a Christmas gift!

I have a cousin who is closer than a brother, we grew up together, both in our late 60's now. His daughter has just had a boy at the age of 38, after years of miscarriages, IVF and pain. They stopped all the IVF, resigned themselves to being childless and last Tuesday had a lovely baby boy. I am just so "chuffed" for them, as we say in the UK. For a long time I have had to avoid mentioning my 4 smashing G- kids, I knew it upset my cousin, but now I can give him Granddad lessons without fear of that.

Now for a funny true story.

I have a brother who has 7 children, all grown with their own now of course. Many years ago, he took them to a local beauty spot on the bus. Waiting for the return bus, an old man with a stick was behind them in the queue. The bus came, they all piled on and they were refused entry after the 5th or 6th child "Not Enough room!" Brother stepped back into the old guy, he tried to take the weight on his stick but it slipped and down he went. Bro picked him up and retrieved the kids.

"Sorry old feller," he said "My dad has a stick like that, he has a rubber on the end to stop him slipping like you did."

"Well, if you had a bit of rubber on the end, you would not have as many children and we would ALL have got on that bus!"

I hope no one is offended by that, it is absolutely true.
