Which mundane PC question do you hate the most? Every single day, these "Which is better/what do you use etc" type of questions are asked ad nauseum all over the internet.
PC vs Intel, PC Vs MAC, Which A/V, Which Browser et al.
Sometimes these questions are borne of ignorance. Other times they are 'confirming/comforting' questions which validate an impending or already purchased option, current usage habits, hardware assurance and so on. Lots of reasons in other words.
Then there are the intentional trolls who like to light a fuse and step back to watch the show.
Basically we have all encountered them in one guise or another.
However there is often one question that angers a person more than the others. What's your trigger? | My System Specs |

I voted for Which browser is the best? Well, they are free, download and do your own research then you'll know why you think it best. Anti-virus would be next, but I can understand a newbie looking for perhaps two or three to try rather than wanting to experiment much with security.
"Then there are the intentional trolls who like to light a fuse and step back to watch the show."
LOL. Loaded questions stand out pretty well and I stay clear of such threads except maybe when extremely bored and then it can be very funny to see how some get their blood pressure up over something that just isn't important in the larger scheme of things. Some people obviously need to get a life. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Homebuilt OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Core i7 920 Motherboard Asus P6T Memory Corsair XMS 12GB Graphics Card Asus EAH5850 Sound Card Asus Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays HP 2709m Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Natural Ergo 4000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical 1000 PSU Thermaltake TR2 RX 850 Case Lian Li PC-B70 Cooling CPU-Noctua NH D14, GPU-Stock, Case-Noctua 2x140, 2x120 Hard Drives Intel X25 120GB SSD; Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB (1), Green 1TB (2), Green 2TB (1) Internet Speed Cable Other Info HP bd 340,

I voted "other". Actually I wanted to select all of those "Which is best?" questions but as I could pick only one, I had to select "Other".
I have never understood the hype around something that's supposedly "best" or better than all other alternatives. Every OS is the best for someone, every browser and mail client and email provider and so on.

I voted PC vs Mac.
Mainly because those tend to get in the most heated debates as neither side is reasonable enough to yeld. Quote: 60HZ vs 120HZ monitors (eye cant see over 24fps blah blah...) This is out of ignorance. It's easy to close the discussion though. Anyone can detect the difference between 24 and 60 fps and there are websites with animations to help everyone see for himself, and there are reports that prove that people can detect stuff up to 100 fps. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number custom built OS Win 7 Pro 64-bit 7601 CPU AMD Phenom 9650 QuadCore, revision DR-B3 Motherboard ASUS M4A78 Memory 4,00 GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Fujitsu Siemens P19-3P Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 x 32 bits @ 60 Hz Oh yeah, 4:3 rocks! Kari I used to get quesitons about which was the best OS, back when the Amiga, Atari, etc. were around. I told folks to find the software that did what they wanted, and buy a computer/OS that ran it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer AX1700-U1710A OS Vista Home Premium, contemplating moving to Linux Graphics Card EVGA 1 gig GeForce 210 Monitor(s) Displays 39 inch HDTV Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Internet Speed 5 megabits |
