One of the reasons I dont do facebook. I dont know those languages.
Greed is one of the things I hate most.
Today I, together with a few others, will meet someone who wants to take our money, the little we still have .
He is not happy with a compensation he has received from us. Or rather, the compensation is OK and agreed upon but he's not happy because we deducted the sum he owed us from the paid amount. A notarized IOU of this debt exists, debt itself long overdue, so we had all rights to deduct it from the agreed amount of compensation he received.
The thing is, although he knows he can not win in the court (even his lawyer told him he is not willing to represent him because there is no case) he has sued us. An ongoing court case just delays the obvious outcome and keeps money unnecessary tied in an escrow account, money that would be desperately needed elsewhere. Like buying bread and butter .
Now he has contacted us, wants to meet. Hopefully he comes to tell he's withdrawn the case from the court.
Hope all goes well Kari.
Today we are snowed in, no school and a very unhappy Han because her friend was coming round for tea. Here's hoping the day gets better.
Same in Germany. Airports closed when there's an inch of snow. In my native Finland we are a bit more accustomed to snow. This from BBC News:
Helsinki airport had 188cm (6ft) of snow last winter but the last time it was forced to close because of the weather was in 2003.
That closure lasted for half an hour.
