Many years ago they predicted late night/early morning snow in South Texas. All major roads were shut down, schools were closed, trucks from the highway department started spreading sand at major intersections, etc. South Texans woke up to sunny skies, temperatures well above freezing, and a local newspaper headline trumpeting how hardy South Texans are. That we "survived the threat of snow".
Snow? Snow??? We don't need no stinkin' snow to grind to a stop!
