    Happy New Year!

The first 3 hours of this year have been awful so far.

I got home (after a 3 mile walk) from the pub at 2am to find a note on the door. "Bramble (our dog) ran off when the fireworks went off and we haven't seen him since. Dad has spent ages looking for him but had to stop searching. Wake us up if he's by the door"

Sure enough, he wasn't So I've just spent the past hour and a half doing loops around the village looking for him, but to no avail. Looks like he's spending tonight in the rough

The village that I live in isn't very big so he can't have gone far, and I've searched it all top to bottom, twice, so I really don't know where he's gone. What makes it worse is that we just washed him and took his collar off for that, so he's currently missing with no collar. He's well known among the local residents, so I'm hoping someone recognised him in their garden and took him inside for the night. There's a road 200m away with a national speed limit, so I'm hoping he hasn't wandered that far...

Hope you all are having a better 2013 than me!

    Tom

    Crisis over!

He was found by a couple in a taxi on the way back from a party who enticed him into the taxi with pringles, then took him home for the night and phoned the police. We've just got him back safe and happy.

He was found in the next village along that's over a mile away, so he must have really hated the fireworks!

Yeah, it's such a relief that he's safe. He walked along a mile of pavement next to a 60mph road so I think we've been lucky this time!

I'm glad that you got your dog back OK. I managed to take Gracie for a longer walk this morning.
