Today I've got a very bad news. A baby I know got diagnosed thalassemia.
Just been reading up on thalassemia. seems it is a lifelong condition, depending on the severity of it depends on the survival rate.
hopefully it will be less severe and manageable
I have been walking Gracie as usual to-day and I'm about to install the orginal Mafia as I like to drive the old cars etc.
Is thalassemia a very serious disease? My wife has this disease. It was found out 2 years ago but as it never harmed her, I never bothered to check for treatment. An I being stupid by ignoring it?
i think she must have a mild case dinesh ,
when you decide to start a family make sure you mention it to the doctor,

Dinesh, as far as I know, thalassemia may affect you in two different ways. Either you are a thalassemia positive, then it is a disease; or you may be a carrier. In that situation, it will never harm you, but there is a fair probability that it may be passed to your children.
If Kavita is a carrier, (if she is a positive, it will burst out in her childhood for sure), it is the best that you test your blood. if you are a carrier or not. If you both are a carrier, there is 1/4 th probability that your children will be a positive, 1/2 probability that your children will be a carrier, and 1/4 th chance that your children will be totally free from it.
It is totally a genetic disease ..... and consciousness is the only way to prevent it.
Dinesh, bhai, I am not wanting to make you afraid, byt telling you to be conscious. As one of you are a carrier, you must be conscious. Please, take it seriously.
I have been walking Gracie as usual to-day and also my hiking boots have arrived and are comfy.
