You dont take so much pressure on yourself, Greg. Make a backup team with some people on which you can trust that they can make it, guide them with the modus operandi, set the rules, and share some workload with them.

Biking is refreshing, I feel it the most during my back journey ..... but lately I faced what is a fear of death.
Thanks Arc. Are you volunteering? You'd certainly be ready to hit the ground running in Installation if you could find time to spend here.

To be honest with you I have longed for having that kind of help here for years, and have tried to be really careful not to step on anyone's toes who is gaining traction in Install forum as are several at all times.

But amongst the talent there has been a succession of easily bruised egos, a stalker (I have several), and stubborn characters only wanting to compete rather than cooperate. To this day one otherwise-competent veteran here refuses to "mark Active before Startup Repairs" just because I remind him it won't repair otherwise - using the same words affectionately remembered from when SIW2 would remind me this in beta.

I admit I am so focused on steps and tricky intricacies that I can inadvertently step on others toes if I'm not extra cautious, but have tried hard enough that I can't say for certain it is me. If anyone else has insight into this I will have nothing but appreciation.

Biking in Ft. Lauderdale and Los Angeles is always treacherous and to survive requires a level of exaggerated caution that can never rest. Yesterday to unwind I did 50 mile bike ride with 2 hour gym workout in the middle, then took the dog to the park. I slept 10 hours without getting up to check threads in the night.

Unwinding by going to the gym for 2 hours!? Don't get me wrong, I love going, a flatmate and I go for 2 hours a day, 7 days a week, but it's the last thing I would do to unwind Especially on a legs day!

Yeah, it sounds counter intuitive but all of it resets my mind better than reading a book or watching a movie.

The increasing time spent in the forums over four years was subtracted from physical activity which itself was largely stress relief from PTSD. I didn't need to stay in that good of shape but I do still need the stress relief.

Today I am working on a clean install of Windows. WMP has stopped retrieving album info from the web, then it would say no files in library, and finally it wouldn't work at all. Switched to MPC, but then I started getting random BSOD at start. After restoring from recent images that had the same WMP issues. I started from a clean image taken after a clean install last time (May 2012?). 118 windows updates, and more Acronis images, and now I am going to attack restoring programs, then my customizations. Doubt I'll get it just as it was, but it will be leaner, and working as it should. Fun

Good luck with the clean install! It's so nice booting into plain old Windows with nothing to slow it down. I'm overdue one really but it would take so long to get everything back on here that I keep putting it off.

Today, I've performed a custom install on the Windows SDK, after discovering that it was almost taking up 1GB of space, so I've only installed the Windows Debugging component and then associated the .dmp files to Windbg.

I'm also learning to code in HTML and a few other related languages like JavaScript.
