today i havent been smoking, it wasnt raining so i could have but i refrained.
when down town i could smell cigarettes at a hundred paces, funny how unpleasant the smell was.
and i could smell stale smoke on peoples clothes as they walked past,
interesting how my sense of smell is recovering and how i find the smell of cigarettes unpleasant now im a reformed character
Tomorrow I will get my spray, I hope :)
good for you arc, i find i dont really use it now unless im really craving a cig, but i force myself to wait and make sure im desperate, so on average i have 3 sprays per day.
i only manage this because im using patchs that release nicotine 24 hrs ,
i would get some patches too if i were you.

they start with three stages, for one month you use stage one which releases more nicotine over 24 hrs,
stage 2 after first month release a bit less nicotine and so on for the third month.
the idea is to wean your self from the nicotine in stages rather than go cold turkey.

previously i stopped for 6 months and used the patches for one week only.
i think i wil use them for longer this time.
the patches are good because i dont wake up feeling the need for nicotine as im already being supplied it, this breaks the habits and rituals of waking up and having a cig within the first five mins of the day.

slow process but it breaks the habits which add to the addiction.

I can vouch for the patches as well Arc, it's how I stopped and it's been 7 years now since I smoked and I was a heavy smoker for over 50 years.

thanks, yeah makes me cringe a little thinking that others were recoiling at my ciggy clothes/hair stench.

If it's any consolation, I quit in 1985. But people still recoil when I pass by.
