I had a "man flu" like that a year or so back, after 3 weeks I went to the doc and said surely this should be gone by now right? I was hoping for some antibiotics , but she said its normal and it should be gone within another week, I said I really hope so, I worked throughout the whole darn thing! And sure enough it cleared up within a week after that. I was pretty happy!

bassfisher That sounds like what I had a few yeas back , Be careful you do NOT take pneumonia on top of the flu as happened to me, I coughed for a solid 6 weeks.. I thought I was going to die..
if I had known at first I didn't have a chance to live , I would have just died earlier, when people have said to me since that bout," I had the flu like you did ", then are up running around doing everything just like they normally would have, my thoughts are" NO ,you did have the same kind of flu I did.. or you would have been laid up for 3 weeks with high fever and sick as a dog."
Try to drink plenty of fluids.. eat well, rest a lot. that helps one to heal .Good luck.:)
I hope I never for the rest of my life have anything like that ever again.
