Extra virgin adds flavor, has a higher smoke point so it makes a good frying oil, eating olive oil reduces cholesterol.

As far as I know, a small bowl of olive oil makes great dipping sauce for eating with white bread.
The problem is many versions of olive oil are as tasteless as they can be.

I made an escarole and bean soup this evening. Can't really taste the olive oil.

I sure hope you'll share your soup, or at least share:) the recipe'
Sure looks yummy, I can almost smell it .:)

I am so glad someone started this thread , I am really enjoying it , I have
also used the link that you provided, been all over the place and I'm finding and sharing, sending to myself many things that I have found useful.
I love to add a bit of salt , pepper, along with red pepper flakes , a tad of Italian seasoning to the Olive oil for dipping with warm bread.

Unprocessed, uncooked, direct press from olives, only filtered. The virgin has been heated to clean it up some.

If you put a tablespoon or so of olive oil in water to boil, it won't boil over. I do this when making noodles, or potatoes.
