There's an old sayin' "You don't haveta' shovel rain".
Wouldn't it be easier to use a blower or have your better half do it for you? Personally I like 65 to 70F with low humidity.
On a lighter note...
Got up to 98F at 4pm then all hell broke loose, the best lighting I've seen in a couple of years with angry sounds of thunder. Gust front came through and the trees were dancin' in the wind.
Horizontal rain at first then poured for a half hour and was all over 45minutes later. Picked up 2/3rds of an inch of rain, temp dropped from 98F to 72F by 5:30pm edt.
We're right on the edge of the severe risk area for tomorrows cold front.
It's a combination of the hot road and tires, and also when it gets that hot, the heat and sun will soften up the road slightly and the oil/tar in the asphalt will come closer to the surface. Have you ever been driving down the road and seen a the mirage coming off the road? That's hot
There`s only 1 reason to sweat, besides work, and I think you all know what that is. The only place I want to see snow is on a ski trip or a post card. I hate the cold
I`m planning my next island trip, can`t decide between St. Martin ( again ) Jamaica, Aruba or Barbados.

Today it was only 98 f with 75% humidity because clouds came in around 1:15pm
The other problem is the sea creatures are having a hard time on the western side of the sound, where the water temp is 74-82f.
If the storms come thru on Saturday it will start to be OK.

Hot, Humid & Hellish. Add the occasional thunderstorm that comes through to soak everything, followed immediately by intense sunshine that makes it seem like your living in a South American Rainforest We've had highs in the upper 90's all week with heat indexes into the 100's.

This is the place AddRam like this all year round just about - here frosty this morning but at least a break in the rain.
Front passed through with nary a whimper, but I watched a nice lighting show 80miles away from Baltimore, MD. Storm tops approaching 41,000feet, 7 3/4 miles, 12.5Km
How far can lightning strike?
Almost all lightning will occur within 10 miles of its parent thunderstorm, but it CAN strike much farther than that. Lightning detection equipment has confirmed bolts striking almost 50 miles away.
