    I notice it strong in a fresh pack of blanks, but a pack left open for a couple of days airs out. So I don't know if it's in the discs, or some factory by-product chemical.

Hello I have Dell computer with HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N SCSI CdRom Device...never had a problem with it now all of a sudden it wont recognize a blank disc...it will play a dvd movie with no problem...I uninstalled and then reinstalled the drivers which did nothing...also uninstalled the drive...

Hi, Im trying to burn a DVD from media player but it wont recognise the blank disc. I have tried a couple of different types of disc but it keeps telling me to insert one. Any one have any ideas as to why this may be? Thanks in advance and a happy new year!
Hi All, I know this is 'against the rules' as I have posted this in another section as well but I got no replies so thought I would try this instead. I have a toshiba satellite L750 running Windows 7 home premium, when trying to burn anything onto a blank disc I get as far as selecting...

PROBLEM FIXED. What was problem: 1. Windows 7 (on it's own HDD) couldn't boot alone if i didn't also connect the HDD which had XP. Solution: Under Disk Management i marked the Win7 HDD as active (right clicked, mark as active) and then used the Windows 7 disc to boot and then repair 3 times.
