Sorry I can't help LPt1, don't have a tablet. What type do you have, what OS is it running I expect that will say what you can get, is it Android or something else ?

Joan hi, This is running Android 4.0.4, It's a Toshiba Thrive tablet.
This keeps trying to add/use the wrong words when I type, makes it a bit difficult. Do you have a word speller on your phone if so , might that work on the tablet as well ?
Thanks for your reply.

Just had a look and I don't seem to have an app for spelling on mine but as the phone is set up for working in the UK it seems to work.

I have the HTC Wildfire S and it runs on the Vodafone network for the UK.

Have you looked to make sure the input language is set properly for your country ?

you can add your own words to the user dictionary, so that they will be available in the suggestions when you type them later.

Method 1:- When typing in an input box, you will see the word along with a couple suggestions above the onscreen keyboard
- Tap the word once and you will see an option to Touch again to save
- Tap the word you typed again to save

Method 2:
- Go into settings
- Select Language & keyboard
- Select Personal dictionary
- Select the + button
- Type the word you wish to add and then hit OK

Hope that helps
