    Quick tip

I know someone has probably done this before but I keep all the refs to scan sites, tutorials, advice and manufacturers sites copied / pasted into a Word document so all I need to do is pull up the Doc and copy/ paste back to the reply post instead of doing them individually as I used to - VERY tedious.

Yup, that's something we all (or most) do. I also have a database i keep adding new information, tips and ideas to. Makes it easy to search for stuff.

I keep mine bookmarked in Firefox v. 12 which is the last one which will allow dragging them intact from the Menu bar>Bookmarks dropdown list into my posts here by name and not URL which is what I want. It saves a lot of time copying/pasting.

One of the reasons I don't post at 8F is because these Bookmarks links get stuck in Link format for the rest of the post no matter what I do.

I have learned to use Office OneNote to collect clips and articles. I have also a library called Seven Forums where I save webpages when necessary.

Yep Kari I keep it all in a Word doc - tutorials, apps, and as yours websites and I think soon I shall have to start separating them into apps / tutorials / websites etc pity one couldn't pin them to the taskbar but I could have doorstop icons but that means minimising everything to see them - think I'll just keep the doc opened in Word which I have on the taskbar.

If I knew a bit more about the software we use I would be able to set something easier up.

in firefox i have my bookmarks display down the left side of the browser so they are always at hand , i never use a bookmark toolbar as i dont like having too many toolbars showing. i use 2 toolbars
    roboform toolbar and stumbleupon toolbar.

I'd like to but if it causes Bookmarks from the Menu bar dropdown to drag into posts as the URL and not the name it makes it hard to merge them into text as I like. Every version since 12 has caused me to revert in short order. You see how many links I put in posts and dragging Bookmarks into posts by name has improved efficiency so much I can't do without it now.

Once I click Bookmarks on menu bar and it drops down, I want to hit the first letter to jump to it, drag link into text keeping its customized name intact and keep typing.

I use OneNote a lot to save things in and also I have quite a few things saved using the Snipping Tool. I've also got quite a few Bookmarks with Web sites saved.

When I was more active in the Newsgroups when they were strong, I used Outlook Express for them before moving over to Windows Live Mail and had a folder under the Storage folders with lots of info in it that I could copy/paste into answers.
