BTW, apparently I was wrong. I thought you need 5 bronze medals before you get a silver one, like there is five green and gold pips. I had four so I assumed the next one would be fifth bronze.

Kinda true, when one earns the 5th bronze, it converts to the Silver one.

There's no reason to be ashamed, it is intended to make you proud, as you should be. The help you've given others to earn the medal is something you should be proud of. You should be running around saying look what I got! Have one for me too.
