I wouldn't class four as being many, without going to look I'm sure I have more than that.
I use Acronis to make backups and the Windows 7 backup program as well and they're sent to my external hard drive which is a 500 GB drive.

I do my Acronis weekly...then burn the latest 1 Monthly to DVD.
Keep the latest and delete the other 3...

    Works for me.

Today I received the laptop I ordered on Tuesday night. It had more crapware than any other machine I've seen. I started to uninstall it manually, but soon realized it would take hours. I downloaded PC Decrapifier, and got the job done in 10 minutes.

It was an Acer, if it matters any.

"Bloatware" seems to be in plague proportions these days. It really annoys........

Thanks Tews, Joan, Iseeuu, Noob and Kari. Stayed up way past my bedtime messing around with it.

You know how everytime you get a new system you swear you are going to set it up right from the start and file everything perfectly and have a place for any conceivable file, photo, document etc???? Yeah well, let's see how long it lasts. I spent 3 hours reorganising 1000+ songs and I haven't even started on the photos yet.

I have 2 external hard drives right now but will end up getting another. We have a rule here - one by the computer for quick back ups and one in the safe (I have had my house broken into once with my computer and all external drives stolen so I learnt that at least one back up must be locked away. Unfortunately, I don't tend to back up to that one too often but I'll do better this time around )

Iseeuu, you just reminded me - must get coffee sippy cup thingy for computer desk :)

Kari, the only thing I cleaned up were my files does that count?

Joan, yep you're right, the cleaning was still here this morning. In fact, with that little 18 month old floating around, there is rarely a day that there ISN'T cleaning up to do.

It's Friday which means a whole weekend of free time ahead of me. Today's mantra: Must not spend 48 hours in front of new computer. Must not spend 48 hours in front of new computer. Must not spend 48 hours in front of new computer.

today i realized my younger cousin is a whiny spoiled brat. he has been crying about everything on facebook for awhile now but i finally had to ignore his updates over it. is it unethical to delete a family member from your friends list?

Absolutely. Never, ever, remove family from Friends. Blocking them is perfectly acceptable, however.

You can just hide his updates so basically deleting him without actually deleting him IYKWIM. I always end up hiding the consistently negative.

yeah i don't think i've heard a positive post from him in the 2 months since i've added him, but since i got this new sidebar to manage fb, twitter and im clients w/o having to visit the pages it's become annoying reading his posts every 15 minutes. i'd think he would have school or something today.

My girlfriends friend just dropped in for a visit with her three kids. Luckily, I rarely see them.

The girls, 10,12 are okay - the younger one is always a bit quiet around me to begin with, but eventually warms up. The eldest one you can actually have a conversation with.

But the son who is 8 and has a serious case of ADHD and god knows what else... Let's just say it was a bit much for me to deal with when I hadn't even been awake for 5 min...

Thank Flap I have an xbox 360...

Parents (especially those with troubled or naughty ones ) I salute you.

As they drove away, I turned to my GF and said "And that is why I'm glad I don't have kids"
