    Hi all
    Actually it was Yesterday.

I helped a Friend of mine EJECTING TWO Bailiff's who the council had sent round for "Unpaid Council Tax" even though the guy was unemployed and didn't have to pay any.

In the UK Bailiff's have NO RIGHT of ENTRY for Council Tax if the property owner / resident doesn't let them in or hasn't previously. Court or unpaid FINES etc are a totally different issue (I can PM anybody with the Legal authority here but I'm not quoting it in public as these aren't Forums for resolving questions of a particular country's Common or Case Law issues.)

The Bailiff's didn't like it when I started to say LEAVE and was within my right to "Repel Boarders" i.e forceably eject them from the property and said I'm calling the Police if you don't - they said I couldn't eject them and had to let them in -- and it was none of my business as I wasn't resident at that address. -- I'm actually BIGGER than they were anyway. "Smith and Wesson always Beats 4 Aces".

After threatening violence -- and I was Game on - and seeing that I wasn't going to back down they called me I'm coming to get you stinking stupid Foreigner -- we've got it on video and Audio so someone is going to be on a charge and it's not me. Then they slunk away like defeated rats back into the night and into the slime from which they had originally emerged.

People must Pay the tax they have to but I was really horrified that in the UK they are still using this form of Feudal Taxation collection method scaring especially vulnerable people with tactics that have NO BASIS in common Law -

What would a SINGLE WOMAN have done if these 2 men had threatened HER with the same B/S tactics - especially if say she was pregnant or whatever.

(I repeat that I don't CONDONE in any way people not paying taxes they are required by law to pay - but it's the collection methods being used that I'm questioning - these sorts of methods in a Civilized country are really DISGUSTING).

I actually quite enjoyed it -- you can always tell BULLIES - they soon scare when they realize people aren't so helpless after all.

Anyway we had a few pints in the local boozer after that.

Incidentally I've complained to the BBC and other channels showing "Bailiff's" -- this program actually shows these people in action and really enjoying there work threatening helpless people and often wanting to make totally illegal charges like "200 GBP Van Fees" etc) whilst not showing the other side of the poroblem and explaining that in a lot of cases they can be REFUSED ENTRY.

We might have probs in the Frozen North but than goodness we are more humane in these matters.

    Cheers
    jimbo

I knew someone would say that. They have gotten wussified over the years. No one wants someone they're paying several million dollars a year to get hurt and no one who makes those millions wants to get hurt.

What are you talking about, my dad is 51 and he still says I wish I knew what I wanted to do when I grow up..
Thus you are never to old to do something you want to do.
I don't dispute that but somethings do get harder and take longer...

For some it's the opposite. Luckily they have pills for it
