It's strange actually Joan. My cable company was originally based in your neck of the woods before it became part of NTL and then Virgin.

You should take a little vacation down to Australia. You can use the internet for a week, and when you go back to your home internet connection, it will feel just like fibre

Using my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot with a massive 3GB data allowance :/

When the networks not congested.. 10-12 meg. When everyone else in the area is on the internet at the same time, 2-3 meg.

hi all virgin media just upgraded my broadband to "UP TO 50MB" but I downloaded a file last night that was 182MB and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes is that right ???? seems like dial up to me, I know it say's "up to" but was this slow? in the extreme or am I wrong here ???
