a boy was very naughty

his teacher gave him an assignment to keep him busy

that is add all the numbers from 1 to 100

in couple of minutes he came back with the answer 5,050

that is he multiplied 50 * 101

how he came up with 50 and 101 numbers

is given below

1+100 = 101
2+99 = 101
3+98 =101
4+97 =101
:
:
:
52+49 = 101
51+50 = 101

so there are 50 pairs of 101 number
