I don't know who you are, but I wanted to say THANK YOU. I just got (against my express wishes)
a new laptop w/ Windows 8 and have been trying to set up a homegroup...

Spent days wandering in the desert and stumbled upon your advice to someone telling them to switch
a bunch of initial-laden things to automatic.. I did it, and IT WORKED!! thanks so much.. there, I've
probably violated the posting rules, but everything's quite complex on this site...:)

(I lived in SD for 30 years.....miss it sometimes, but not the traffic...)

I'm glad my advice helped although I'm not sure where you saw this information posted, somewhere in the forum I assume.

Yes the Networking Services get magically switched to manual start up mode sometimes but I'm not sure why this problem occurs. :)
