Very impressive.

When I was in London last year I got this photo from the bottom of the building the panorama was taken from, for a sense of it's height:



Another fact about The Shard is one a fully clear day it's the only place in London you can see the ocean from - The North Sea is visible when it's fully clear, including boats on it.

You can also make out my girlfriend's house slightly in the distance in this
