Hiyya BB yes very good read as you said mate - saw a doco on the TV the other night with that English journalist who does the weird and wonderful aspects of life in America - Louis Theroux.
He travelled around - stayed and visited folks with autistic offspring of all ages and types of autism and it really did dispel any commonly accepted views on what autism actually is.
I went to the Prince of Wales hospital in Randwick many years ago when I was doing my post grad in mental retardation and it was interesting yet at the same time rather sad that these individuals were never likely to lead any sort of normal life as we know it.
On another note I thought was absolutely intriguing aspect of that fellows anatomy in that he had no corpus callosum which means are we handicapped by the fact that the majority of us do have separation?? Food for thought - if you will forgive the pun LOL!!
