Windows 7: Space travel like movies

Space travel like movies

I love space-travel like, alien type, future survival type, time travel movies very much (e.g, Prometheus, Sunshine, 2012 and like that). Though I have seen a lot of them, I need new ones. I have seen so many that I can't name them to avoid repetition.

I request you guys to give me a good list of such movies. The movies should NOT be old ones (<1990, I hate watching those horrible unrealistic computer animations). I prefer movies shot in 1990s and above.

Please help.

If you are into serials of that type, then you can try the Star Trek series (The Next Generation [TNG], Deep Space 9 [DS9], Voyager [VOY], Enterprise [ENT])
The Next Generation (1987–1994)
Deep Space Nine (1993–1999)
Voyager (1995–2001)
Enterprise (2001–2005)
Also there is the Star Trek movie series
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991)
Star Trek: Generations (1994)
Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)
Star Trek (2009)
Star Trek Into Darkness (2013 Expected)

You're missing some great movies by limiting yourself to that time frame.

Silent Running - Is freaking awesome, decent effects too. You should see this movie period.

Alien

Blade Runner

All these are past your limit but excellent Science Fiction. I could go on and on and.......

I can't find it on IMDB, why? There's one 2002 one that I have already watched.

I agree that there were many good films/ tv series earlier. Firefly/Serenity, Babylon 5. Some tv series like these are well worth seeing.
