    Hello Melita,

Sure. Were you wanting to setup a dual boot with Windows 7 and XP?

Hope this helps for now, :)

Good morning Shawn I m not going for dual boot. I have a second computer, a desk top with an Asus P5LD2 main board, in which I want to install Windows XP. I am predisposed towards XP, if you don't mind my saying so. I always preferred that to the later developments.

Do you want to do a clean install of windows ( which will delete everything). More details on the computer would be great. Like is the an operating system on it?

Good morning Melita. I can understand that. :)

If you have your Windows XP installation discs, then it should be pretty straight forward. The links and video below can help show you more on how to.

Thank you all. I have loads of help here. A friend is sending me the XP professional that he no longer uses as an ISO file.
    1. Would it be alright to install that?
    2. If I don't do that, where would you recommend that I get it from?

    Regards,

Do you have a key for Windows XP Professional?

Also, you cannot give reputation in the Chillout Room or News sections of Sevenforums.

Is this a branded OEM disk? (For example, Dell, HP, Gateway, Acer, Emachines, Compaq etc.)
