Which type of connector is on the computer? Is it alont with the rest of the connectors on the back or farther down? Trying to figure out if you have on-board graphics or an add-in card (GPU).

Gary mine looks like the one on the right of my screen ( Female VGA )
This connector is just above where I plug the speakers in ( 1 green- headset and 1 pink-Mic ) not far from the bottom of the tower.

LPT1, here's what I've found out. I think this is all correct. You do have a separate GPU card and it is probably bad. It can be replaced fairly easy. The diagram below is your motherboard, the bottom is on the left if mounted normally.

One thing to try before buying anew one is to remove the old one, gently wipe the gold contacts with an alcohol dampened lint free cloth, or use a pencil eraser, and put it back and test it. May be dirty contacts. Just remember the latch, I broke one because I forgot about it.

Note where I show a latch, it has to be pushed one way or other to release the GPU card, it is in a AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port ) 4X slot. Here is a list of compatible replacements. Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more! there are all nVIDIA, same brand you have now so maybe no new drivers will be needed.

Gary , I'll try to get the side off the tower, take a look inside, using your screen shot above.
Thanks so much for your help.:)

I have looked at the link you shared with those video cards...saved it as well as your screen shot.

Their is a good chance that when you get the side panel off their will be a small graph (picture) of the locations of things on your motherboard.
