Log out or stay Logged in?

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to either one?

I've been so busy with different things for at least several days that I have been forgetting to log out of here when I thought I was done but when I came here a bit ago to post, was expecting to have to log in but was already.

My "old timers" at work. :)

    Thanks,
    grits

    Hello Grits,

It's more of just a personal choice for what you prefer, and what your circumstances are. :)

Stay logged in = Makes it quicker to access and post to the site. If you have others that have access to your computer, then it could pose a risk of them being logged in to the site as you.

Log out = More secure to prevent others from being logged in the site as you. However, it'll take a bit longer to log in each time you visit the site.

I never log out myself. I like that I can just click on the forum icon in the favorites bar and already be signed in.

Same here! But as Brink said, if others have the opportunity/means to use your account theres always the risk of unwanted things happening. I've logged out once in the last year I think

Staying loged in saves having to remember password Which is very helpful at my old age

When I open Chromium I`m logged in, who wants to keep typing in usernames and passwords, if it`s your pc, there`s nothing to worry about.

Thanks all. I'd give you all a 'rep' if I had time but have created myself a new problem & have already confused myself by reading too much after doing 'search', hoping to find answer instead of new post but not my luck so best get to it.

I too stay logged in. Does one's status always show as "online" even when one closes the browser?
