I'm so pleased to hear your wonderful news Amber and I know we'd all like to know how things go. It's nice to know that even though we didn't help get you the vehicle we at least helped in some small way to get you a new home.

Well done and I hope you have many happy years in your new residence.

Boswell is a small town located about seven miles away from the town of Oxford where I live. For the last couple of years the Boswell Fire Department has been trying to do an annual benefit fundraiser for someone in the community who is in need of something. This year on May 19,2013 I was given some amazing news and an incredible gift! I was told that I was nominated for and accepted as the person that they would be doing this years benefit for. My house is old, and falling apart around me. Nothing works as it should. On September 21, 2013 a benefit will be held to raise the money to tear down my current home, and build a handicap accessible one in its place. I am so overwhelmed and grateful, this is far more than I could ever do on my own. Thank you all for your support.

This is fantastic news Amber. Congratulations. You are certainly well deserving.

Friend request opt-out?
It seems the Reputation system gives badges for positive participation & whatnot, but it also seems that if I get commended for a post, there is a Notification made and a Friend Request I have to respond to? Is that right? Is there any way to opt-out of these so that I don't have to deal with them...
