Maybe next year will be better?

This was the expected timing. I saw mine at 1:39am and again at 1:52am stopped viewing at 3am, nothing from 9:30pm to 1:39am.:

Models, Timing, and Visibility – oh my!

This is a new shower, so scientists aren’t quite sure what, if anything, observers will see on May 24.

NASA scientists at Marshall Space Flight Center expect the shower to be active between 02:30 and 11:00 UTC on May 24 (that’s 9:30 pm on May 23 to 6:00 am on May 24 CDT), and to peak between 06:00 and 08:00 UTC on May24 (1:00 am to 3:00 am CDT)

I could use that to bring me hand tools to work on the tractor when I'm down in the yard, or a beer.

Yes you could. If Amazon can use them to make deliveries locally, tools and a beer should be a breeze.

Scientists achieve quantum teleportation breakthrough that could prove Einstein wrong

Quote:
Scientists in the Netherlands have achieved a breakthrough in quantum teleportation that could quash Albert Einstein’s objection to the notion of quantum entanglement, which he famously labelled “spooky action at a distance”.

Publishing their results in the journal Science this Thursday, physicists at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at Delft University say they managed to reliably teleport quantum information between two bits of diamond located three metres apart.

A video I shot with my phone of the ISS tonight, 6.5.2014. It appears to the lower right of the moon, goes in a vertical path, goes in and out of focus.

Chimps outsmart humans at simple strategy game

When it comes to simple strategy games, chimpanzees consistently outperform humans at tasks that involve short-term memory and predicting opponents' moves.

Quote:
Having more complex cognitive reasoning skills doesn't necessarily make you better at simple tasks, a new study has found. When it comes to outwitting the competition, the chimpanzee seems to be smarter than a human.

Researchers at the California Institute of Technology have found that chimpanzees at the Kyoto University Primate Research Institute are consistently better at humans when playing simple competitive games.

Troll Science
I thought this idea was pretty funny. Probably one of the very few 4chan memes worth porting over to SevenForums, as it isn't TOTALLY stupid (also doesn't contain offensive images). The idea is to post science scenarios that would never work but have some logic in how it might work. Troll Science...
