Recently, my computer had been acting funky. After a while, I figured out it was the PSU going bad (11.4V on the P4 plug under no load is not right at all.)
My question comes about though, because looking at new PSUs, they all have lower amperage on the +5V and +3.3V rails. My old thermaltake 420W PSU has 40A on +5V, and 30A on +3.3V. Most of these new ones are about 25-30A on both, even though they're all 100+ more watts total.
My main question is, would this present a problem for my current hardware? Or is this just because of the difference in old and new ATX specs? (Where my computer probably falls into the old 1.3 spec, whereas everything else now is ATX 2.0 or higher.)
Thanks in advance!
