    That's looking really good mate

I've got a Marshall 8080 and the only place I could place lights is around the speaker, under the mesh. The head unit is solid, so unfortunately lights are a waste up there.
Ahh, solid heads... I know how that goes. I feel pretty blessed to have this amp. 5150s are easy to work with and easy to mod. I'm thinking about looking into mods for the electronics to get more liveliness out of my tone. A friend of mine has a 5150 head that was modded with two of the power tubes being larger than original, and his tone has more oomph to it than mine.

I've played the trombone, guitar and bass. The guitar being my favorite though.

Started playing piano at age 7. Later added guitar (electric and acoustic) and bass guitar and then bassoon. Completed the Royal Schools for Music exams up to Grade 8 for piano and grade 5 for bassoon. Stopped playing piano and bassoon just before I turned 17 'cos I left home. Too bulky to take along. Found that bass is my musical passion. These days though family responsibilities keep me from playing.
