Today i arrived home from buying birthday cakes and stuff to find a parcel addressed to me from amazon,

as the birthday is not mine i was surprised ,inside was a gift wrapped parcel with a card saying "enjoy your gift from john".
yep it was a pressie from our kind forum owner.

i kinda guessed what it was as we had a joke about one in a different thread ,

but the teenagers didnt know, they pissed themselves laughing when i opened the parcel to reveal a karcher window cleaner.
their laughter is at my expense as cleaning the windows has now become my chore job.
as lois has done them mostly for years.
i clean the windows on the computers .

its very much appreciated as i will get the windows clean in half the time leaving extra time to browse the forum.
and i earn brownie points for having the windows clean before lois arrives home

thanks john and angie. i am now a proud member of the archer karcher club

    ok done!.

i whizzed round the ground floor inside and out and did the shower and both bathrooms mirrors.
it took hardly any effort and took about 30 mins.
im thinking now i maybe rushed it a bit as i can see one or two smears, but i have to leave something for lois to pull me up for so she doesnt feel i should have been doing them so well years ago.
im tempted not to mention the karcher as she is at college and unaware of its existence in the house. then when she asks what ive been doing today i can say i spent the whole morning cleaning the windows.

so ,as there was no one to take photos ive left some windows til later , and i may do the smeary ones again when there is someone to take pics.

i even did the shed windows....
im wondering when the novelty will wear off

i found myself laughing at the ease in which i did the mirrors as they are usually a pain to do and leve smear free.

i do feel a bit weird posting about housework duties in such depth though.
See aren't they good , I haven't got bored with mine yet. I wiped the smears over with a dry microfibre, John's windows are sparkling. I must admit I haven't used it on the shower screen or mirror so may have to try that.

I'm sure you'll tell Lois all about your BUSY day, in fact you can tell her we made you leave a few windows as we wanted proof you have done them.

I am slightly disappointed that you have put your apron away today, you could have made Lois a cake too, along with the dusting and ironing (no sign of my press yet ) and her tea when she walks in the door.

I thought Nigel was joking about the forum until I visited! They're going to have a surge in traffic at this rate! :)

    .........Joans arrived! Hee hee!

    Thanks :).

For an ex-pat a game in World Cup between the native country and the country of residence is about as good as it can get!

Still 1:46 to go... My guess is we will beat the Germans 4 to 1. If it happens (or any other win with at least 3 goals), I will be 375 Euros richer! If not, I have lost 75 Euros.

i always cook, and i bought lois a nice iron, i dont want her to think i buy her things that are for me really, so i let her use it.

and i dont wear an apron, i dont mind my clothes getting mucky as the wife does the laundry

shes not allowed to read the today thread anymore, as of now.

joan i think you should share the title ive been given, instead of dolly-fied its karchered.

Are y'all speaking about a Kärcher pressure washer? How do you do mirrors without getting the whole room wet?

You have to mopup with paper towels after you finish. Bit of a hassle but the mirrors look good.
