How much coffee do you drink a day?

Probably 8+ cups a day. I work midnight shift. We always have the coffee going. When I get home in the morning I usually drink another 2 - 3 cups before going to bed. When I was in the military the doctors ran some tests. They discovered I wasn't affected by caffeine.

Seriously, I am. Caffeine will not keep me awake, will not make me more alert, will not make me hyper, will not give me the jitters, and will not give me a buzz. But, it will make me dependent on it and when I am, if I don't get my fix, I will get one whammer of a headache that's worse than the headache of a migraine (it's only the nausea from a migraine that makes migraines worse). Also, too much caffiene at once will give me severe heartburn. My primary source of caffeine was diet colas.

I now avoid caffeine as much as possible. I switched caffeine free diet sodas and limit those to two a day (I also have to keep my sugar consumption down). The only tea I will drink is caffeine green tea (and that is rarely). Otherwise, all I drink is water. The only caffeine in my diet now is the limited amount that's in chocolate and I don't eat a lot of that since only a little will satisfy any chocolate cravings I may get (although you do NOT want to get between me and the choclate when I am craving it!), not enough to get me dependent.

Caffeine is probably the most abused drug in the U.S., if not the entire world. One only has to look at the amount of coffee, energy drinks, etc. sold to see that.

Just one cup. I also have a cup of tea. :)

Normal work day: 1 vacuum bottle full and a 16 oz. travel mug. I finish the thermos on my way home from work.
