6 year old kid gets suspended.

    It’s a Fork, It’s a Spoon, It’s a ... Weapon?

Zachary’s offense? Taking a camping utensil that can serve as a knife, fork and spoon to school. He was so excited about recently joining the Cub Scouts that he wanted to use it at lunch.

School officials concluded that he had violated their zero-tolerance policy on weapons, and Zachary was suspended and now faces 45 days in the district’s reform school.

Yea, he's from Newark Delaware and goes to the school district I went to for 8 years. The ****tiest school district EVER! (Christina School District) the most corrupt, mismanaged people work there. So I'm not surprised they're making a big freaking deal out of this, he's 6 years old!

Dont make me tell you how many times I've been suspended for inane garbage compared to this kid here.

Christina School District should be federally investigated and dismantled and merged into a better district in northern Delaware. They aren't even receiving federal funds because they violated many rules during the Clinton Administration and and the former District Administrator almost ran the District bankrupt the took off with millions of dollars with several other top people to Jacksonville Florida, he has since taken post there and ran THAT DISTRICT nearly broke!

The only reason MY school stayed afloat in that corrupt place is because it's a state-owned Deaf/Hard of Hearing institute and we get money directly from state of Delaware instead of the District itself but rely on the ground rules and requirements of District. They have even used tax money to build several schools without any votes or letting local residents know of what's going on, so basically (I think) the new completed schools are still sitting empty.

Hear this on the early morning news, then read about it from a news RSS. This is what you call stupid. By the time the news media gets through with this school district Watergate will be nothing more than a picnic.

Is there such a thing as common sense in a situation like this, or did it get put out with the garbage.

theres a reason i dont watch the news. they over-bloat, and exaggerate everything in time and space, in order to get a story. my personal opinion is that if nothing truly important happens on a given day, news casters should go fishing. so to awnser your question, NO, there is no sense commonly found in the media. it died out long ago.

    -edit-
or do you mean, about the school crucifying a small child for an honest mistake? in that case, still, the answer is NO. sad isn't it?

Common sense was phased out and replaced with Political Correctness.

Sense is not so common any more.

I just hope Christina School District implodes on itself since this has been getting worldwide attention.
