I not quite sure why we need mammoths running around on earth again except to keep ivory hunters happy.

Good point. But then I'm not sure why we need human beings running around the earth. Just let me have my run. Then my descendents etc. It gets a bit complex.

Not so long back i read that "Harvard biologist caught the world's attention when he suggested cloning Neanderthals could be done soon".

Interesting...perhaps someday we'll see them in real life. Wouldn't that be something to see?
