anyone here not have a smart phone?

    other than me?

I have a dumb phone. a cheap $20 pay as you go phone... emergencies only. I put 15 bucks a month on it to keep it active. just in case the car breaks down.

I had an iphone once for 2 days. took it back. I don't need it and hated the thought of paying 65 bucks a month for it.

I'm into computers, but could care less about phones. lol

looks like a good phone. long as mine makes and receives calls, I'm happy. could care less about all the other bells and whistles..

I have a samsung gusto... cheap phone but works, does the trick. at 20 bucks, I dont have to stress about if it breaks or if I lose it.

I need to get a new phone but unlike my son I actually just want it to talk on it with decent voice quality and have basic text messaging. Oh I don't like midget finger phones.
    I'd probably go Samsung.

Sure sounds like me, macgig. I too have a go phone and have hundreds of dollars piled up because I don't call anyone. I give them $25 every three months and the dollars just pile up.

Oh yes, it cost me $20 in 2000 so it's 13 years old and still has the original battery pack. Several years ago I bought a spare phone (same model) on eBay for $15 and I may never get to use it.

Never had an iPhone but back in '95 I did have a HP flip phone. Never used that either.

good to know I'm not the only person on the planet without a smart phone .

my pay as you go phone is from verizon. I put 15 bucks a month to keep it active (or I could pay 30 bucks every 3 months. never use all the money up I have on it, not even close... I make 3 calls a month maybe and their short quick calls.

may look into the trac phones... $7/month... sounds cheaper than what i'm paying monthly now.... I want cheap. the cheaper the better when I comes to phones... that way I have more money to spend on computer stuff!

Several months ago, I forgot to give them (AT&T) their every three month payment and it cost me many hundreds of dollars.

Now, I have set up for them to take the money every three months and I hope they choke on it. &^%$^^%$$$^%**

wow. how so? you dont have a contract on the Go phone right?. I figured if I stop paying verizon would just cancel the phone and id lose the number. no fees, no big deal. I better check on this, I don't want any financial surprises...

Well, the money I don't use just piles up. When I make a phone call, which is almost never, they take 25 cents per minute. SO, the money just piles up BUT if I forget to give them that every 3 months jolt of money or every year amount, you lose whatever is in your kitty.

God forbid they could remind you.
