New Products -- How about a Forum "Dragons Den"

    Hi all
Sometimes I see people suggesting / starting development on stuff that hasn't a dogs dinner of a chance of being anything useful whatsoever.

How about a "Dragons Den" type section where people can post their suggestions and users can reply - politely - but rather more curtly than in the other sections of the Forum.

People would also know that if they DO post in that section they are likely to get a no holds barred on what people REALLY think of some of these ideas. They might also get some decent encouragement as well if the stuff is any good.

I'm not sure how many people watch "The Dragons Den" but its a great program on seeing how people - some of whom have good ideas - and others hopeless ones try and make a Sales Pitch to the "Dragons" for these people to invest in their ideas.

The "Sales pitch" is always worth watching. "Optimism springs Enternal..." Anon.

    Cheers

In my opinion, "Ring of Fire" or "Dragon's Den" or whatever you call it forum type areas always degenerate into mindless drivel which is an embarrassment to the rest of the forums.

Just post a political thread and it will very quickly become a dragons den.

Which is why that is not allowed.

Do not need a "Dragons Den" or a "Political thread." This is a great site, and to turn into something like "Neowin" or one of the many other sites like it is just a bad idea. To many good people on this site to be letting down.

I love the Dragons Den (Shark Tank in the US)... Its funny seeing some of the amazing junk that some of these folks come up with... The best one I've seen would have to be "Medicinal Marijuana Cookies"... Trying to give drugs to potential investors always ends badly, especially when asked how the drug was obtained :P
